"CalzoneGolem" (calzonegolem)

Saw this movie with my son and he loved it. This is a lovely story of Heath Ledger 2.0 working in a scrapyard and fabricating his teal whatever truck. Don’t get me wrong the truck is cool and is powered by a monster literally.
As a car guy I can’t really get over the fact that every vehicle, with few exceptions, are FCA products. The mom drives a Neon and the sheriff has a Jeep.
There’s a bunch of fabrication and a bro truck is sacrificed for the greater good to produce these things.
It’s really hard to find pictures probably because of how generic the title of the movie is. WTF do I even search for? Monster truck movie trucks?
Anyways, if you like Dodges, fabrication and tentaclly monster based power plants in said Dodges you’ll love this movie.

Fun fact - this movie will NEVER make a profit since they spent something like 150 million + to make it. Also it was a pitch from some executive’s 8 year old son (or 7 year old or 9.....something like that).

$150 million on what? Dodge RAMs and Danny Glover?

FCA has been doing this for a little while now. But I’ve Just recently noticed that it’s like EVERY TV show or movie. I guess subliminal marketing is good enough.

CGI everything.
Also I was wrong, it was only 125 million.

It’s more noticeable in a movie where the trucks are actual characters I guess.

The mom drives a Neon
Not sure if that’s sponsoring or shaming.

WTF do I even search for? Monster truck movie trucks?
Adding “2017” as a search term helps. And there’s always IMCDB ...

I still really like the Idea of this movie dispite terrible reviews, but I’m for sure going to wait it’ll it hits the video rental. Heck in a year it’ll be a free kids movie at Family Video.

I think it is a pretty good kids movie. I’m not sure what these reviewers were expecting.

Exactly. Sure it’s a cheesy kids movie, but that’s what it’s meant to be.
